I Walked a Lonely Road

I walked a lonely road

It didn’t seem all pleasant nor easy

Guarded by a conviction in heart

I could never deny nor ignore

Even when I want to follow friends

And fulfill desires of family

And take the road

Prepared and Organized by men

I just couldn’t

That lonely road I walked

That still voice which burdened my heart I followed

I know not where it is taking me to

I know not the extent of roughness

Neither the thorns and rocks I will encounter

But I trust the voice I followed

It might not be all rosy I know

But the conviction that I will love the end

Makes it an easy road to walk

One day I will stand tall to say

I walked a lonely road

I had no idea where it will take me

But I just trusted the voice guiding me

And I followed

It was not all rosy

It was not all pleasant

But it was a walk worth the walk

One day I will stand proud and say The voice I obeyed

The lonely road I took

It made the difference

I walked a lonely road!
