The Beautiful Dirt

The richest of men have not always been rich
The best of men have not always been best

The biggest trees emanated from a seed
Which was worthless until it was buried in Dirt
Where worms and it’s brothers brood upon
But out of that Dirt where no man sees anything good from
Where even the worst of men despises
Houses and keeps the would – be- tree

Who birds will cherish
And sing their songs to
Whose exhalations and fruits
Man can’t live without
Yet it was rooted in dirt
And came from Dirt
The Dirt we detest
Yet we can’t live without

Time and grace brings out the beauty in us all
Leave it to time
Leave it to grace
Oh that sweet grace
Which found a shepherd boy
And made King David out of
Who made the villain and persecuting Saul
The Apostle Paul
Sweet a grace!
That’s all that matters

Despise not the worst of men you encounter
Neither detest the sinner you can’t comprehend
Leave it to time
Leave it to grace

We only appreciate light because of our experience with darkness
We only value riches because of our experience with Mr poverty
We take joy in success only because failure made us terrible
We are able to identify beauty because we once encountered ugly

So is life!
Despise not the unrighteous you see around
Despise not the worst of sinners you encounter
A touch of Dirt
And yet it’s worth the touch!
Grace indeed makes the difference

Beautiful Dirt !
Grace defines
